"Strange World" in Budapest

I am invited to make a solo show at the Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest. Last year I had a residency in Pécs, European Capital of Culture 2010 (one of three, that is). During my stay in Hungary I travelled through the country, photographing deserted factories and other buildings.

There is an infamous high-rise in Pécs which stands as a monument of failure. Apparently, tenants moved in at first, but due to static problems they had to abandon the building, leaving it empty for decades now.
